Division 4 battlers Nunawading City almost produced another cupset in the biggest game of their history, falling to virtually the last kick of the game against a youthful A-League Men's Wellington Phoenix side 1-0 in Melbourne on Sunday.
Despite holding out for more than 90 minutes on a sunny afternoon in front of a loud home crowd, a parking of the bus that featured a range of stunning saves from City's shotstopper Dennys Martin, it was the Nix's Hideki Ishige who made sure his side took a win back across the ditch, securing the first spot in the Quarterfinals in the 94th minute.
Extra Time's Ethan Wright was there as the Australia Cup Round of 16 made its way to NASIOL Stadium (hosting Nunawading City rather than usual tenants Hume City) in the city's north:
