Safe to say that some dart fans across the globe will be eating some humble pie today, as Beau Greaves becomes the first woman to win a PDC ranking title at Players Championship 11. This was not by any means an easy run to winning the title. She beat players that are in the top echelon.
Beau's incredible campaign at Milton Keynes consisted of beating three past World Champions in Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, and lastly Michael Smith in the final - where she won in a last-leg decider, including a mammoth 170 checkout and a 142 checkout to win the title. Her game was at a different level.

This title victory has boosted her position on the PDC main Order Of Merit (OOM), jumping up 14 places as a result of her victory - whilst also pocketing £15,000 pounds along the way.
Further, Greaves' result has also meant she is in with a real chance to qualify for the World Grand Prix - an outcome that would be truly extraordinary. Additionally, her race to qualify for the Matchplay, which commences in mid July, is also becoming increasingly more probable.

What was even more impressive across the day was Greaves' desire to keep fighting when it got tough. For her to be able to keep her calm across two nail-biting last leg deciders against the calibre of former World Champions showcases her class on the oche.
Beau highlighted to the world today why she is no pushover in competing with the men. After winning more than 100 Women's Series titles in a row on the pro-tour, we knew she was capable of performing to a level like this. The only question was, when.

"I am so happy I can't even describe how I feel," Greaves mentioned in her interview after the title victory.
Greaves has reflected on her start to 2026, noting her game wasn't where she had want it to be up until this point in the year. "I am so proud of myself because I was struggling so bad at the start of the year, really bad," Beau highlighted.
And on the 28th April, 2026, for those who doubted her ability, she has well and truly arrived. Her run for glory and fame against such top-quality opposition does not finish here. "Now I need to kick on and keep doing it." Greaves also said.
Her ceiling for her game is only getting higher and higher.
