Another match, another shock result.
Last week in was Nunawading’s scoring record, this week it is Olympic Kingsway’s extra time win over last year’s finalist Melbourne Victory.
The first real upset result, or as the commentators kept referring it ‘cupset’.
Western Australian NPL team Olympic Kingsway hosted A-League's Melbourne Victory in the Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32.
Last week in was Nunawading’s scoring record, this week it is Olympic Kingsway’s extra time win over last year’s finalist Melbourne Victory.
Olympic Kingsway kept themselves in the game, even when Victory scored goals, they were able to find responses.

Victory’s Jordi Valadon opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, Kingsway’s Mitchell Oxburrow responded by scoring off a penalty in the 27th, then Victory’s Keegan Jelacic scored late in the first half to put Melbourne up 2-1 at the break.
The second half started quiet until Kingsway’s Joseph Hobson broke the silence in the 70th minute, Victory’s Reno Piscopo scored in the 88th and then in the dying stages Kingway’s Liam Boland scored to take the game into extra time with the score 3-3 after regulation.

A red card in the 78th minute to Victory’s Joshua Rawlins did not help Melbourne.
Both teams had their chances in extra time, but it was Liam Boland who scored a penalty in the 101st minute that put the Perth team up and they were able to hold off until the final whistle.
As soon as the final whistle blew the home crowd was ecstatic and rushed to their heroes who had just taken down one of the biggest team's in the country.

The Hahn Australia Cup continues with the round of 16 fixture to be announced after the final round of 32 matches take place.
