Western Bulldogs midfielder Adam Treloar will miss the start of the 2025, having been ruled out for two months with a calf injury.
The club confirmed that Treloar suffered an acute muscle strain and will enter a rehab model for 8-10 weeks.
It is a disappointing setback for the midfielder, who is coming off a career best season in which he averaged 31.5 disposals and was selected in the All-Australian team for the first time.

Treloar’s absence in the first few games of the season will be a blow for the Dog’s midfield, however, former Blue Matt Kennedy and youngster Ryley Sanders have impressed during pre-season training and look likely to get plenty of time in the middle.
It has been a bit of a tough pre-season so far for the Bulldogs, who will be celebrating their 100th year in 2025.
In addition to Treloar’s injury, gun forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has spent most of the Dog’s pre-season training away from the club as he deals with personal issues, whilst 2016 Norm Smith Medallist Jason Johannisen will also miss a chunk of the season after injuring his hamstring.
Defender Liam Jones also recently suffered a hamstring setback and is waiting on scans to find out the extent of the injury.
