Perth Heat are in? What is happening?

I wrote an article, released only 30 minutes ago... and now... Perth Heat are playing after all?

Yesterday it seemed they had withdrawn and now it looks as though Baseball Australia will be running the franchise.

No real explanation.

Just a statement saying, “We’ve got this.”

If this was the plan all along, why not say something sooner?

Fans thought the club was done, players were in limbo.

Now we find out it was “anticipated” the whole time?

The lack of transparency is getting old.

Yesterday it seemed three teams were gone in three months.

Now it is a four-team league nobody wants, the Aces and Cavalry nowhere to be seen.

And right now, no clear picture of where this is all going.

The ABL says there’s a vision.

That’s fine.

But how about some honesty in the meantime?

How about transparency?

Because right now, it feels like fans are the last to know.

And that’s not how you build trust.

That’s how you lose it.
