Just year ago it was the Brisbane Lions holding the premiership cub after beaten North Melboune in the grand final, however North have got their sweet revenge on the Brisbane Lions. Jasmine Garner from North Melbourne had a record night she had 35 disposals which is the most ever in an AFL W grand final surpassing Erin Phillips. Garner also accumulated 10 clearances and 13 tackles in a surpeb performance by an player in a grand final. So mamy predeicted a high scoring affair for the game, however that was not the case at all because there was only 7 goals kicked for the entire game. North Melbourne said "We believe we have just changed the evoulution on the style women's football gets played with what we have accomplished this year." There was one big talking point prior to the start of the grand final, which was if the grand final should have been moved to Marvel Stadium becasue there are more seating at Marvel then at Ikon Park. Ikon Park can only produce a 13,000 seat capacity, on the other hand Marvel Stadium seating capacity is 53,000. The growth of Women's AFL is great fro the game so the AFL might need to have a discussion on if the AFL Women's grand final should be played at a bigger stadium in the future.
