Each week our team look back at the round of AFL and give their thoughts on each game.

Adelaide vs Geelong
Mark Woods- Great game to kick off Gather Round. Adelaide showed they can hang with the best but Geelong too good. Bailey Smith and Max Holmes are the barometer of Geelong, when they are on so are Geelong.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Perhaps the best game of the year so far. Geelong looked gone in the second quarter, but it was a brilliant second half comeback. Holmes and Smith the clear standouts with Cameron and Dangerfield important as well.

Collingwood vs Sydney
Mark Woods- Collingwood are looking the goods, Sydney once again disappointing against a finals contender.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Collingwood did look good, but despite the current ladder position, I don’t think the Pies are a top four team.

North Melbourne vs Gold Coast
Mark Woods- Gold Coast banking wins early, this was a good percentage boost.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Despite North keeping it close for a time, Gold Coast worthy winners and I’m just happy my first big call has landed.

Carlton vs West Coast
Mark Woods- Carlton walked in, finally have a win on the board. Voss is not out of the woods just yet.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Carlton won a game they should have. Pressure is still on.

Western Bulldogs vs Brisbane Lions
Mark Woods- Game of two halves, Brisbane showing up in the second half. Wonder what would have occurred if they show up for 4 quarters.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- A fun game. Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that the reigning premiers are undefeated and looking good.

Melbourne vs Essendon
Mark Woods- Melbourne turned up in the 3rd quarter, Essendon showed up in the other three. How long will Goodwin last?
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- It is clear to see that Goodwin is on borrowed time.

Richmond vs Fremantle
Mark Woods- Fremantle did what they needed to do, four points in the bank.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Richmond were gallant, but Fremantle got a much needed win

St Kilda vs GWS
Mark Woods- Giants showed what applying pressure does to St Kilda.

Port Adelaide vs Hawthorn
Mark Woods- I was wrong, Port started strong. Port played like a team not wanting to lose to Hawthorn. Hawthorn showed up late but was too late.
Lorenzo Di-Mauro Hayes- Couldn’t believe the first half I was watching. Port Adelaide needed to bring energy to this game and they did. Hawks really do struggle when Will Day is not there.
