For 75 minutes, Heidelberg United fans clung to hope. Then Bul Jauch struck, and hope turned into belief.

Just nine minutes later, Asahi Yokokawa found the net, and belief became reality — Heidelberg United were on the verge of toppling Auckland FC, sealing their third win over A-League opposition in this remarkable Cup run.

The atmosphere only grew louder as the clock wound down, and when the final whistle blew, it was official: Heidelberg United had booked their place in the Hahn Australia Cup Final.
They will now await the winner of Avondale FC (fellow NPL Victoria giants) and Newcastle Jets (A-League).
Final score: Heidelberg United 2–0 Auckland FC.
